Our Program.....

Our goal at Beary Best Academy is to make your child's preschool experience rewarding and fun, instilling a love of learning for the years to come.

Beary Best Academy uses a Developmentally Appropriate Curriculum that encourages creativity, problem solving, self awareness and positive social interactions with others.

As children learn by interacting with their environment, we feel that it is the teacher's role to carefully set up the environment to best facilitate this learning.

Classrooms are set up in learning centers, which include a block center, dramatic play, sand and water play, art center, quiet/book center, science/discovery center and table activities to develop skills. Children are learning primarily because they find tasks enjoyable and this empowers them to take control of their own learning.

Our teachers use weekly social studies units and build around these topics with creative art materials, pre-readiness activities in math and language games, manipulatives, dramatic play, songs and stories, as well as fine and gross motor skill development.

Your child will be involved in a balance of activities to meet his/her needs. On a daily basis we will have inside and outside activities, small groups, large groups, and individual time for play, as well as time to be quiet and restful.

Your child will be learning language skills, expressing his/her ideas clearly, finding ways to solve problems, negotiating a play schedule with other children, learning to make comparisons, predicting outcomes, expressing his/her feelings and discovering individual creativeness.

The teacher's role will be to observe and facilitate your child's development and plan choices in centers throughout the classroom that will encourage your child to practice old skills and learn new ones.

It is our intent to allow your child to learn and to reason, to solve problems, be self-directed and be aware of the individual needs of others.

Pre-Kindergarten.....

Beary Best Academy offers an extensive Pre Kindergarten Program using the highly acclaimed Scholastic Early Childhood Curriculum as well as the wonderful Kindness Curriculum. The Pre Kindergarten classes will also explore the world by "traveling" to many different countries where they will learn about different cultures and how children in other parts of the world live......Children will enjoy activities which promote reading readiness, language arts, science and discovery, math skills, and creativity through art, drama and music. At the end of our Pre Kindergarten program, your child will be well prepared for Public Kindergarten.

Schoolagers.....

Beary Best Academy provides before and after school care for your kindergarten thru fifth graders. Children are picked up by certified CDL bus drivers and delivered to Beary Best for a snack and fun filled afternoon. We provide a quiet room for the purpose of homework. Children may choose from many activities- games, reading, basketball, rollerblading, soccer, arts and crafts, video games, cooking, computer room, multimedia room and exploring our age appropriate playgrounds.

Your child will look forward to all the fun after a long day at school!

Summer Camp.....

Much thought and energy goes into planning a wide variety of activities including- arts and crafts, cooking, plays, karaoke, sport camps, swimming and field trips for your schoolager. All parents will be provided with a monthly calendar. Each day is action packed and fun filled!

We assure you that your child's summer experience at Beary Best Academy will be stimulating, safe, rewarding and fun !!

Special Programs.....

To better serve the needs of children and parents, Beary Best Academy offers a variety of Special Programs such as Karate, Gymnastics, Tumbling, Dance, and Swimming lessons. Special classes are paid by the parent. Instructors come to our center to give lessons.

Parents are always welcome to observe!
